This year’s district theme, “Be the Difference,” reminds us that every action, every smile, and every moment of care has the power to change lives. Our staff live this message every day—by inspiring curiosity in our students, supporting one another, and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.

The individual we’re recognizing today has truly been the difference—through their dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our students and community. Today we honor Mrs. Beth Chapman, the librarian at MCMS.

Wow!!!! Beth wears so many hats and she is able to keep track of everything. I appreciate Beth because she is always willing to help. I'm sure she gets many, many phone calls each day but each time I call .. she always helps me, answers my questions and is just plain really nice on the phone. I just want to thank Beth for being easy to get along with and for all that she does at Montgomery County Middle School.

We would like to take a moment to recognize Beth Chapman for consistently going above and beyond. Beth has an incredible gift for building strong connections with our students, making each one feel valued and supported. She is always ready to lend a hand to colleagues, and if she doesn’t know the answer, she works tirelessly to find it.

Beth is not only a wonderful leader but also a trusted mentor and teammate. For many of us, she is also a sounding board, offering guidance, perspective, and encouragement when we need it most. She goes far beyond the duties of her role, showing her dedication and commitment to both staff and students every single day.

We are truly lucky to have her as our librarian, teammate, and friend. Thank you, Beth, for your hard work, your kindness, and your unwavering dedication. You are the best!

Our district’s mission is to create lifelong learners and productive citizens. The Wildcat Award winners support our mission by building meaningful connections, creating a supportive learning environment, and through their commitment to professional growth. Their dedication fosters a love for learning and makes our schools welcoming spaces. We are fortunate Beth is a part of our Wildcat family!

Montgomery County R-II Wildcat Award, Mrs. Mandy Rodgers
November 2025

This year’s district theme, “Be the Difference,” reminds us that every action, every smile, and every moment of care has the power to change lives. Our staff live this message every day—by inspiring curiosity in our students, supporting one another, and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
The individual we’re recognizing today has truly been the difference—through their dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our students and community. Today we honor Mrs. Amanda Rodgers, an interventionist at MCE.
Mandy is excellent with all the kiddos at the school. She is exceptionally good with the kids that need a little more help than others or one on one support. When called upon she performs gently and gracefully and has personally helped myself and others through many obstacles. I believe she deserves the wildcat award this month for her continued effort and dedication she brings forth everyday.

Our district’s mission is to create lifelong learners and productive citizens. The Wildcat Award winners support our mission by building meaningful connections, creating a supportive learning environment, and through their commitment to professional growth. Their dedication fosters a love for learning and makes our schools welcoming spaces. We are fortunate Mandy is a part of our Wildcat family!

The individual we’re recognizing today has truly been the difference—through their dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our students and community. Today we honor Mrs. Rebecca Gilbert, Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at MCMS.

I am honored to nominate Becky Gilbert for the Wildcat Award in recognition of her unwavering dedication, positivity, and service to both our students and staff. Becky consistently goes above and beyond in her role, especially through her work with FCCLA.

She regularly arrives early and stays late to help students prepare meals and snacks for staff, demonstrating her commitment to student learning and leadership. On weekends, Becky takes time out of her own schedule to shop for and replenish food supplies, ensuring her students have the resources they need to succeed.

Becky encourages students to step outside of their comfort zones and take ownership of their learning. Through hands-on experiences, real-world responsibilities, and team collaboration, she helps students develop practical life skills and a strong work ethic. Her efforts directly support the growth of students into lifelong learners and productive citizens who are prepared to contribute (and already do!) meaningfully to our community.

Becky is a positive force within our school community. Her influence doesn’t stop at the classroom door. She actively promotes unity and morale among staff by organizing and preparing food during work days. Her thoughtful efforts create a welcoming and appreciated sense of togetherness and family.

Becky’s dedication, generosity, and positivity make her a shining example of what it means to be a Wildcat. She truly makes our school a better place for students and staff alike.

Montgomery County R-II Wildcat Award, Mrs. Sheridan Temperly

October 2025

This year’s district theme, “Be the Difference,” reminds us that every action, every smile, and every moment of care has the power to change lives. Our staff live this message every day—by inspiring curiosity in our students, supporting one another, and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
The individual we’re recognizing today has truly been the difference—through their dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our students and community. Today we honor Mrs. Sheridan Temperly, an interventionist at JBE.

Sheridan took on a new role this year as interventionist to our struggling students. She has excelled in this position. She has also been a great help to the teachers. She has stepped up, without complaint, and helped many staff members. She is always willing to step in and help out whenever and wherever it is needed. She helped me with a parent question that I wasn't sure how to answer, and I know has helped other teachers in many different areas. Sheridan has gone above and beyond what was expected of her in her new role this year. All her hard work and dedication to our teachers and students is appreciated by all.

I would like to nominate Mrs. Sheridan Temperly for the Wildcat Award. Since stepping into the role of interventionist this year, she has made an incredible impact on both students and staff. Sheridan’s passion for helping kids learn shines through every single day. She is consistently organized, punctual, and dependable, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to grow and succeed. Whether it’s providing extra help to a struggling learner, offering a hand to a colleague, or jumping in wherever needed, Sheridan does it all with kindness, professionalism, and a genuine heart for children. Mrs. Temperly's dedication and positive spirit truly embody what it means to be a Wildcat!

Sheridan is deserving of this award because she always shows up for all those around her. Sheridan is in a new position this year at school and you would never know it was her first year. She goes above and beyond for the kids that she works with and checks on staff daily to make sure that they’re OK. Sheridan is one of the kindest, sweetest people at Jonesburg and we are so lucky to have her.

Our district’s mission is to create lifelong learners and productive citizens. The Wildcat Award winners support our mission by building meaningful connections, creating a supportive learning environment, and through their commitment to professional growth. Their dedication fosters a love for learning and makes our schools welcoming spaces. We are fortunate Sheridan is a part of our Wildcat family!
