WEATHER CANCELLATION PROCEDURE
When it becomes necessary to cancel or dismiss school because of inclement weather or other circumstances, notice will be given to the radio and television stations in the R-II area. When there is a possibility that school will not be held or that classes will be dismissed early due to inclement weather, tune to one of these stations for information. They will broadcast the information as soon as they are notified. Please do not call the stations, schools, or homes of school personnel to find out about school closings.

Cancellations and early dismissals will also be announced using School Reach phone contacts. Parents/guardians are responsible for providing accurate and up to date phone numbers to each school in which they have a child attending.
Cancellations and early dismissals will also be posted on the District web site (www.mc-wildcats.org) and the District Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Mcr2SchoolDistrict).
Please indicate on your emergency card the location to which your child should be sent in case of early dismissal. Discuss these plans with your child so they will be aware and comfortable with the arrangements
