Today we were able to celebrate Mrs. Kathy, our amazing custodian. She works so hard to take good care of our building. Today she received the District's Wildcat Award and we were able to surprise her.
We are so thankful for you, Mrs. Kathy!!

What a great day we had at MCMS! It was Missouri Schools Read-In day and we were able to celebrate by reading a book together. Each hour we pulled up another section of the book The Crossover being read by the author himself.
We finished the book together in AcLab today with popcorn!

MCMS FCCLA Murder Mystery Dinner, Part 2

The MCMS FCCLA put on a fabulous inaugural Murder Mystery Dinner Saturday evening! FCCLA students prepped and served food, wrote the script, acted in the play, and raised a great deal of money to support Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
Special thanks to Mrs. Gilbert and Mrs. Chapman for supporting our students in their STAR Event. Special thanks to Mr. Falloon for working with our sound system.
And special thanks to the members of the community who came out to support this great cause.
More pictures to come. Way to go, Wildcats!

We have FIVE TICKETS LEFT to the nursery mystery dinner theater tonight! Come out and see us for great pasta and a great show at 5:30 tonight!

Today we were very pleased to surprise Ms. Gowin, art teacher, with a Wildcat award.
We are celebrating individuals who truly embody our district’s 2024-2025 focus: “Educate, Encourage, Empower.” These remarkable staff members go beyond their roles, inspiring both students and colleagues every day.
Empowerment starts with believing in our students’ potential. Our recipients create environments where every child feels valued and encouraged to take risks, nurturing their self-confidence and fostering independence.
Ginia has a knack for teaching kids. There is not a day that I don't hear about how well she knows her students and their likes and dislikes. She is supportive and accepting of all students and finds ways to include the students who may not have an interest in art at first. She is never negative or judging towards students or staff. Students feel comfortable in her classroom and it shows!
Our district’s mission is to create lifelong learners and productive citizens. The Wildcat Award winners support our mission by building meaningful connections, creating a supportive learning environment, and through their commitment to professional growth. Their dedication fosters a love for learning and makes our schools welcoming spaces. Today we are honoring Ms. Ginia Gowin with the Wildcat Award.

We are fortunate that Compass Health is working with Mr. Parker's health classes this week to teach our kids about the dangers of vaping. Students worked in small groups today to create anti-vaping posters.

Students in Mr. Anthes tried something new today--Sketch Notes! Using illustrations students summarized the events of Chapter 12 in their history books. We are very impressed by the products!

Students in Mrs. Gilbert's FACS classes have begun sewing. We are excited to see the cool projects they create.

Thanks to the generous support of our community, our recent Donors Choose project was quickly fully-funded. Sixth Graders who completed all required AMI assignments for the two days this week were the first to earn a reward. The Gaga Ball Pit, Hula Hoops, and Limbo were a huge hit! We can't thank you enough for your support!

January's Theme was RESPONSIBILITY. Our Rotary Wildcats of the Month do a great job demonstrating the trait of responsibility and they are excellent role models for the school. We are proud to have Anna, Caiden, and Jett representing the Wildcats!
