There will be a special Larry Richards Club meeting on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 3:35-4:10.
We have partnered with USAgain to collect clothes and shoes. This company will pay us 2 cents for every pound collected and will plant a tree (somewhere, not on our property) for every full bin. The bins are located on the southwest corner of our building. We will start spreading the word to the community soon and hope it will help the earth and raise a bit of money for our donation account.

The 100th Day of School is currently scheduled for February 28th. If we have snow days, this date will change. Students are welcome to celebrate 100 Days by wearing a 100th Day shirt, 100 of something or dressing like a 100-year-old. If you have clarifying questions, please contact your student's classroom teacher.

JBE PTO is hosting their annual Spring Carnival 11am-2pm on Saturday, March 25th. We will have games, concessions, and prizes at the carnival. Join us early for the 5K Fun Run, registration is at 9am, and the run starts at 9:30am.
This week we had several guests open our morning assembly. Thank you to Avery F, Audree S, Selena A, and Rhyleigh M for getting us started this week.

JBE PTO is selling Imo's Pizza Cards. Each card is $10, orders and money are due back to school TOMORROW - February 16th.
JBE StuCo Change the World Day is Wednesday, February 15. Students can wear a hat or bright colors and make a donation to Children's Hospital Bone Marrow Floor.
JBE Valentine's Parties will be held from 2:30-3:30 on Tuesday, February 14th. Please make sure you RSVP if you are planning to attend Valentine's Parties so we know who to expect in our building.
Teachers may have asked for help from parents with snacks, crafts and activities for the Valentine's Party. Parents will be allowed to drop snacks or activities off in the morning or during the day if you are unable to send it with your child. Please make sure it is labeled with student name and teacher.
Snacks during the party need to be store-bought, pre-packaged and preferably healthy. Other items such as pencils, stickers, etc are always welcome. It is acceptable to send home a small treat bag of individually wrapped treats. Please refrain from sending items with icing as this could cause major messes on the bus.
We will again have signout sheets available during the 2:30-3:30 time in the office. Please stop by and sign your student out during that time and get your "exit ticket". If you are planning to take a student that you are not the parent or guardian of, please have their parent send a note or call the office prior to 1:30 on Tuesday. If an adult does not have an exit ticket they will not be allowed to leave with them. Please help us by communicating early to lessen confusion and help us keep our students safe.
Please let your student's classroom teacher know as soon as possible if you are planning to attend the party. Friendship parties will be held on Tuesday, February 14th from 2:30-3:30. We ask that no younger siblings attend the parties. Students are welcome to bring Valentines to exchange within their classroom during the party. We have a full day of learning planned leading up to the parties. Front doors will open promptly at 2:30 pm for room parents that have RSVP'd.
