RAIN OR SHINE - JBE PTO is hosting their annual Spring Carnival 11am-2pm on Saturday, March 25th. We will be in the gym and have games, concessions, and prizes at the carnival. Join us early for the 5K Fun Run, registration is at 9am, and the run starts at 9:30am.
Spring portraits would be going home in Friday folders this week.
The JBE PTO Carnival is SATURDAY, March 25th from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm RAIN OR SHINE. Find us out by the Optimist Concession Stand if the weather is nice, find us inside the JBE Gym if the weather is wet. We will have lots of games, fun, prizes, and food. Stop by the concession stand for a pork burger or treat. Don't forget to get your tickets to play some games and win prizes. Concession stand and ticket prices can be found in Friday Folders, on our website and on Facebook.
We ended up with 6 chicks from our hatching experiment. Our chicks will spend the rest of the week with us and then head off to their forever farms.
This year we are really focusing on Growth at JBE and we are going to try something new. On March 31st, we will be hosting our quarterly Growth Parade. Our teachers have been talking to students about the importance of stretching ourselves and growing. Each student will help choose what growth they want to celebrate and make a sign to carry in the parade.
Parents are invited to sit in the gym bleachers and watch the parade. The parade starts at 8:05 on March 31st.
We are happy to announce Brian Gehrlein will be our featured author for the 2023 Delores Miller Young Authors’ Day. Mr. Gehrlein is an English teacher from Liberty, MO and has written The Book of Rules. Students may purchase a signed copy of
Mr. Gehrlein’s book at a discounted price. Orders and money are due to school by
Friday, March 24. Please make checks payable to: Jonesburg Elementary.

We have partnered with USAgain to collect clothes and shoes. This company will pay us 2 cents for every pound collected and will plant a tree (somewhere, not on our property) for every full bin. The bins are located on the southwest corner of our building. We will start spreading the word to the community soon and hope it will help the earth and raise a bit of money for our donation account.
The Book Fair is coming! Stop by JBE Friday, March 10th from 7:30-8:00 am for early bird shopping during our "Hole" Lotta Books event. There will be donut holes and book fair shopping. Students must be accompanied by an adult to shop during our "Hole" Lotta Books event.
