Mr. Elder was at JBE talking about the Science Fair. He brought a vortex cannon and demonstrated the conservation of angular momentum and talked about the upcoming Science Fair. Science Fair Interest Forms are due back to school on Friday, October 23. If you would like to participate in the Science Fair or would like more information, please return your form.
JBE StuCo Change the World Day is Wed., October 21st. Students are encouraged to bring in "change" donation or dollars and participate by wearing Country Western Wear or a Hat to support Dolly Parton Imagination Library,
PTO Me & My Gal - event Thursday, November 5, from 5:45-7:15 for JBE boys and their "gal". Their gal should be a trusted adult in their life. We will have snacks, games and activities. We can't wait to have fun with our boys and their special gal!

The 2026 JBE Veterans Day Assembly is coming up on Thursday, November 12. If your student has a veteran they would like to recoginize and invite, please fill out the RSVP and return it to school. This year we will also have light refreshment for veterans and their students before the assembly at 2:00 pm. Students will need to have parent permission to participate with their veteran. If your veteran will be taking your student home, the office must know in advance.

This FRIDAY, October 16th is a Wildcat Friday at JBE. Students and staff are encouraged to wear their Wildcat gear, blue and white, or simply come as they are, because we are all Wildcats at JBE. Help us celebrate by showing your Wildcat Pride.
During our STAR program SRO Deputy Chase brought the THC Drug Impairment Course to JBE. It gave students a hands-on opportunity to learn about impairment.
Mark your calendars to join us for our first quarter Growth Parade and our Harvest Party Day Parade. This year, they line up to be on the same day. You won't want to miss it! It starts promptly at 8:05. Guests are welcome to sit in the bleachers to enjoy the costumes and celebrate our first quarter growth.
Harvest Party Parade is at 8:05 am on October 29th. Please note that the parade can be attended by everyone, but the Harvest Party is for Jonesburg Elementary students only. Please do not bring younger siblings, cousins, etc. Thank you for helping make this a special event for JBE Students.

Fall Harvest Parties will be held from 2:30-3:30 on Thursday, October 29th. Your student's teacher should be reaching out soon for help! Please make sure you RSVP if you are planning to help with Harvest Parties so we know who to expect in our building.
Teachers may be asking for help from parents with snacks, crafts and activities for the Harvest Party. Parents will be allowed to drop snacks or activities off in the morning or during the day if you are unable to send it with your child. Please make sure it is labeled.
Snacks during the party need to be store-bought, pre-packaged and preferably healthy. Other items such as pencils, stickers, etc are always welcome. It is acceptable to send home a small treat bag of individually wrapped treats. Please refrain from sending items with icing as this could cause major messes on the bus.
Students will be allowed to dress in a school appropriate costume (read specifics later in this paragraph), wear a fall shirt, Wildcat shirt or come as themselves. We ask that the costumes are school dress code appropriate and that there are No Mask, No Inflatable Costumes, No Weapons (including swords & sabers), No Gore, and No Blood. Students will NOT be able to change during the day. If they are dressing up, please make sure it is something they can be comfortable in for the entire day and that it is not a distraction to learning.

JBE has had some great visitors recently. Representatives from the MCHS Ag Department and FFA stopped by for morning assembly as well as the MCHS Senior Volleyball players.
Parent-teacher conferences will be on two evenings this year (10/28 & 10/29). Conferences are by appointment only. Our teachers will be working all day and hosting conferences on both Wednesday and Thursday nights; therefore, there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, 10/30. Please keep in mind that 100% participation at parent-teacher conferences is our goal. Due to larger class sizes, we will likely be unable to "fit you in" if you are running late. In addition, please be prepared to help our teachers stay on time by sticking to the 15-minute time slots.
