This week is the JBE Larry Richards Club Food Drive from November 11th - 14th. If you can, please consider sending in non-perishable items this week to help others in our community.
Larry Richards Club and the Jonesburg Optimist have adopted 17 families for Thanksgiving Baskets this year. Your donations help us make these baskets possible. THANK YOU for your support of Larry Richards Clubs efforts to serve our community. Below is a sample "shopping list" that the students use to pack the baskets. No students help in the actual pick up of baskets, just in the preparation stage.

You are invited to join us for the JBE 4th Grade Great States Parade on Friday, November 24th from 2:30-3:15 in the JBE Cafeteria.
Our fourth-grade students have been working hard to create a "float" out of a shoe box that they will have on display. It's actually the opposite of a parade because the floats are still and you move, but the students are researching their state and creating a display to teach you about what they have learned. You are welcome to come see their hard work on display.

ATTENTION JBE 4th & 5th Grade: Don't forget there is a Larry Richards Club Meeting this week, Nov 7th 3:35-4:10pm. Please note if your student will go home a different way to let the office know. Students must have a signed permission form to participate in Larry Richards Club.
**EDIT on Original Image Dates - Please note it is 12/9-12/12** The JBE PTO is hosting the Santa Shop again this year. Thanks to generous donations, EVERYTHING in the shop will be $1. We are looking for volunteers to help wrap gifts at the Santa Shop. You can sign up here if you would like to help. Please spread the word to others that might like to help - grandparents, aunts and uncles, and trusted friends are all good to help too.

The JBE Veterans Day celebration will be Thursday, November 6th at 2:00 pm in the JBE cafeteria for our Stars, Stripes & Snacks gathering. The schoolwide assembly will be at 2:30 pm. Students and staff are encouraged to wear red, white and blue!
We encourage our veterans to park BY THE CAFETERIA/PRESCHOOL ENTRANCE. DOORS WILL OPEN AT 2PM.
Students will only be allowed to attend Stars, Stripes & Snacks with their veteran if you let us know (on the RSVP or by calling) that the veteran is coming and the student has permission to be with them. Students will only be allowed to leave with the veteran if you communicated that on the RSVP or called the school office.
The November lunch schedule has been changed to accommodate our Thanksgiving Feast. Please note the online version of the menu may not be correct.

PTO Me & My Gal - event Thursday, November 6, from 5:45-7:15 for JBE boys and their "gal". Their gal should be a trusted adult in their life. We will have snacks, games and activities. The GLOW ROOM is back by popular demand! Wear white or bright colors if you really want to glow! We can't wait to have fun with our boys and their special gal!

Congratulations to our Kiwanis Terrific Kids for October. The Terrific Kids is a student-recognition program that promotes character development, self-esteem and perseverance. “Terrific” is an acronym for Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive and Capable. Thanks to a very generous donation from Roxanne and Heath Sellenriek, the JBE staff is getting a treat from Sacred Groundz tomorrow (Thursday, October 30).
