Eggs were sent home for the MOCO Cancer Supporters Egg Fundraiser. Students and families are encouraged to fill the egg with cash or change and return it to school by Tuesday, April 4th.
All money raised will be donated to the Montgomery County Cancer Supporters.
The class that raises the most money will win a donut party.
Representative Bruce Sassmann, who represents part of Montgomery County in Jefferson City, stopped by JBE with a gift for some of our students. He had copies of articles that have appeared in the Montgomery Standard laminated with a note. Thank you Representative Sassmann.
We are finishing reading How to Train Your Dragon, now join us on Tuesday, April 4th at 6 pm in the gym for our One Book Movie Night. This free event is open to all our families. Bring your chairs, blankets, or pillows, we will have hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and drinks. All students must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
Mark your calendars. Easter Break is coming. We will be out of session April 7-11. Classes will resume on Wednesday, April 12. Enjoy your break.
Don't forget, we have Monday school on Monday, April 3. It will be a Friday specials day so most of our students will have PE.
There will be a Larry Richards Club meeting on Friday, March 31 from 3:35-4:10 pm. We will be stuffing Easter Eggs.
JBE PTO is hosting their annual Spring Carnival 11am-2pm on Saturday, March 25th. We will have games, concessions, and prizes at the carnival. Join us early for the 5K Fun Run, registration is at 9am, and the run starts at 9:30am.

The JBE PTO Carnival is SATURDAY, March 25th from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm RAIN OR SHINE. Find us out by the Optimist Concession Stand if the weather is nice, find us inside the JBE Gym if the weather is wet. We will have lots of games, fun, prizes, and food. Stop by the concession stand for a pork burger or treat. Don't forget to get your tickets to play some games and win prizes. Concession stand and ticket prices can be found in Friday Folders, on our website and on Facebook.
We ended up with 6 chicks from our hatching experiment. Our chicks will spend the rest of the week with us and then head off to their forever farms.
This year we are really focusing on Growth at JBE and we are going to try something new. On March 31st, we will be hosting our quarterly Growth Parade. Our teachers have been talking to students about the importance of stretching ourselves and growing. Each student will help choose what growth they want to celebrate and make a sign to carry in the parade.
Parents are invited to sit in the gym bleachers and watch the parade. The parade starts at 8:05 on March 31st.
We are happy to announce Brian Gehrlein will be our featured author for the 2023 Delores Miller Young Authors’ Day. Mr. Gehrlein is an English teacher from Liberty, MO and has written The Book of Rules. Students may purchase a signed copy of
Mr. Gehrlein’s book at a discounted price. Orders and money are due to school by
