The 4th & 5th grade Larry Richards Club members are invited to attend the Jonesburg Optimist Club's annual Katy Trail Bike Ride on Saturday, May 13. Permission forms were sent home with Larry Richards Club members. Permission forms are due back to school by Friday, May 5th.

Summer is quickly approaching. This year the JBE Library will be offering FREE Summer Book Boxes. Each box will contain books picked specifically for your student, summer activities, and some goodies. Read the books and return the box and books in the fall. The goodies are yours to keep. Book boxes will be sent home on Monday, May 22. Sign your student up for a Summer Book Box by May 5th.


Shirt and ticket orders for the Cardinals game are due TOMORROW, Friday, April 21. If you singer (or you) would like a shirt or tickets, please make sure to get your order returned to the school.

Change the World Day is Wednesday, April 19. Donate your change to the Special Olympics and celebrate team day by wearing your favorite team shirt or hat.


The JBE PTO is having a Flash Sale on the Spring Soap Sale. Order your spring soap and be prepared for all your spring cleaning. Orders and money are due to the JBE office by 4 pm TOMORROW, Friday, April 14th. Soap delivery will be Tuesday, April 25th.


We have partnered with USAgain to collect clothes and shoes. This company will pay us 2 cents for every pound collected and will plant a tree (somewhere, not on our property) for every full bin. The bins are located on the southwest corner of our building. We will start spreading the word to the community soon and hope it will help the earth and raise a bit of money for our donation account.


There will be a Larry Richards Club meeting after school TOMORROW, Friday, April 14. They will be having a guest speaker.


Join us in celebrating Mrs. June Mallon at her Retirement Open House on Tuesday, May 16 from 4:30-6:00 pm in the JBE cafeteria. Mrs. Mallon has served the MCR2 school for the past 25 years including the last 8 years as the JBE Instructional Coach. Help us celebrate her and wish her well on her next journey.

JBE classrooms received an addition to their fidget boxes. Thank you to Mrs. Harms from MCE for making and donating such awesome fidgets to our classrooms.




Ten lucky students won prizes for participating in our One Book, One Community read. Congratulations.


Mark your calendars. Easter Break begins tomorrow. We will be out of session April 7-11. Classes will resume on Wednesday, April 12. Enjoy your break.
