Out of extreme caution for the safety of our students, staff, and Optimist members, the Optimist and myself have decided that we WILL NOT attend the Cardinals game today. Students will be part of our lunch count and will be sent home via their regular end-of-day routine unless you communicate a different plan with the JBE office. We have some alternative fun indoor baseball activities planned today for our 5th-grade students and still plan to go to a Cardinals game in the future. We will make those decisions and communicate the plan after we gather more information from the Cardinals. As always, thank you for your understanding and flexibility! Our student's safety is our top priority and we are making the best decision we can with the information we have.

Fifth-grade parents, The forecast for Wednesday's field trip to Busch Stadium shows rain and storms all day, however, we are still planning on going ahead. If you would like to opt-out of having your child attend, please contact the school in writing or by phone before school Wednesday. If the game is canceled or postponed, you will be notified and we will plan to send students home via their normal procedure IF we are back in time. We will take lunch count before we leave in case we return to school before lunch. You are welcome to pack lunch for your student in case we return to school. Students can bring a poncho or small umbrella if they want. We will get our information about potential cancellations from the St. Louis Cardinals website. Thank you for your understanding.
