
Montgomery County R-II is taking nominations for Teacher of the Year. Teachers can be nominated for the Teacher of the Year in their building. A district Teacher of the Year will be selected from the buildings Teachers of the Year. Nominations will be taken from February 8 - 25, 2022. The building winners will be announced the week of March 7. The district winner will be announced the week of March 28, 2022. The MCR-II Teacher of the Year will represent our district at the regional level. Please take a moment to nominate a teacher by completing this form.

Groups pictures for the yearbook will be taken Wednesday, February 23. Group pictures will include Math Club, Academic Bowl Teams, Spelling Bee students, Larry Richards Club, and Student Council.


Montgomery County R-II School District will be providing screening for students interested in Title I Preschool. Students must be 4 years old on or before July 31, 2022.
Screening will be held as follows:

If you are interested in your child attending Title I Preschool, please call for an appointment. Appointments can be made beginning March 1 for screening at Jonesburg Elementary by calling 833-662-6228 Ext: 4103. Appointments can be made beginning March 22 for screening at Montgomery City Elementary by calling 573-564-3711 –Ext: 3010.
Screening typically takes approximately an hour. It provides a snapshot of your child’s physical, language, and social development. You should expect a brief summary of your child’s screening at the conclusion of their appointment.
Transportation to Preschool will not be provided. Parents/ Guardians will be responsible for providing transportation to & from Preschool. Parents will be notified by April 15th whether or not their child has a Preschool spot for 2022-2023.

On 2-2-22 we were home with a snow day so on 2-22-22 students and staff can celebrate National TuTu Day. Students can wear a tutu over their regular clothes or they can wear a pair of anything. A pair of socks, a pair of earrings, a pair of pants etc. or they can celebrate "Two"esday by pairing up with a classmate or friend and dressing like a twin or they can wear their Wildcat/JBE gear and twin with several other students/staff. We are excited to celebrate the year of two's with our students.


The JBE PTO is sponsoring the Sweetheart Dance (formally Daddy/Daughter Dance) on Friday, February 25 from 6:30-8pm at the school. JBE girls are encouraged to bring someone close to their heart. There will be dancing, snacks, and a Princess Crowning. Join us Friday, February 25 for the Sweetheart Dance.


Family Fun Night isTuesday, March 8 from 6-7:15. Join us for lots of games and fun. Visit our Book Fair. Stay for the PTO Meeting at 7:15 in the computer lab.

The MCHS FCCLA officers are ready to collect soda tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri. They will be collecting tabs are due tomorrow, Friday, February 18. Send your tabs to school with your student. The class who collects the most tabs will win a popcorn party.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 16, is Change the World Day. Students may donate their change and wear mismached socks or a hat and support Grow2Gather.
