JBE is kicking off our 7th Annual One Book, One Community on Friday, March 1. This year JBE will be reading "Wayside School is Falling Down." Each student will receive a copy of the book to read along and keep. Plan to join us on Thursday, April 4 for our FREE One Book, One Community Family Night. We will have food, bingo, and lots of fun to celebrate finishing our book.

The JBE PTO Carnival is this Sunday, February 25. Join us for games, prizes, food, and fun. The Carnival is Sunday 11:00-2:00 in the JBE Gym.
We have partnered with USAgain to collect clothes and shoes. This company will pay us 2 cents for every pound collected and will plant a tree (somewhere, not on our property) for every full bin. The bins are located on the southwest corner of our building. We will start spreading the word to the community soon and hope it will help the earth and raise a bit of money for our donation account.

Good morning JBE Families. This is a reminder that AMI Day means Alternative Method of Instruction. In order for your student to avoid being marked absent, they must complete 4 assignments total from the core areas of reading, writing, math, science or social studies. That means they can skip one of the cores today. You can turn in a hard copy, send your teacher an image of the completed work or write a note to the teacher if it is something like read for 15 minutes. Please reach out to your teacher if you have questions. This is DUE on TUESDAY when we return. If you don't have your choice board at home, you can find it online at https://www.mc-wildcats.org/page/ami . Stay safe and warm. Thank you for helping our students complete the work. Our attendance goal is to exceed 90%, our last AMI day was 85.28%. Together we can accomplish this goal.
The JBE PTO Carnival is coming and to celebrate the PTO is giving away carnival tickets to some lucky SUNsational Students. Today's lucky winner was Ella B. She had been nominated for being Responsible. Ella won 20 tickets to the PTO Carnival on Sunday, February 25.
It's SRO Appreciation Day. JBE would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to our School Resouce Officer Deputy Harley for helping keep our school and students safe.
Some of the MCHS FTA members had an opportunity to job shadow at JBE. They were able to spend their day with a class and see what it is like to be an MCR-II teacher. We hope they enjoyed their day with us.
