PTO Me & My Gal - event Friday, November 3rd from 6:00-7:30 for JBE boys and their "gal". Their gal should be a trusted adult in their life.

JBE will be hosting a Harvest Party Day Parade at 8:05. Parents are welcome to watch the parade from the bleachers in the gym. Parents will be asked to leave after the parade and will be welcome back at 2:30 for Harvest Parties. Fall Harvest Parties will be held from 2:30-3:30 on Tuesday, October 31st. Your student's teacher should be reaching out soon for help! Please make sure you RSVP if you are planning to help with Harvest Parties so we know who to expect in our building. Teachers may be asking for help from parents with snacks, crafts and activities for the Harvest Party. Parents will be allowed to drop snacks or activities off in the morning or during the day if you are unable to send it with your child. Please make sure it is labeled. Snacks during the party need to be store-bought, pre-packaged and preferably healthy. Other items such as pencils, stickers, etc are always welcome. It is acceptable to send home a small treat bag of individually wrapped treats. Please refrain from sending items with icing as this could cause major messes on the bus. Students will be allowed to dress as their favorite book character, wear a fall shirt, Wildcat shirt or come as themselves. We ask that the costumes are school dress code appropriate and that there are No Masks, No Inflatable Costumes, No Weapons (including swords & sabers), No Gore, and No Blood. Students will NOT be able to change during the day. If they are dressing up, please make sure it is something they can be comfortable in for the entire day and that it is not a distraction to learning.

Don't forget to pick up your soap order. PTO Soap Sale orders will be in on Wednesday, October 25th. They can be picked up 3:30-5:00 pm. If you cannot pick up your order at that time please contact the office.

Jonesburg Elementary will be remembering Veterans Day on the week of November 11 on our Facebook page. We are asking students and staff to submit names of their special veterans to be included on our Wall of Honor. Please fill out the form by Wednesday, November 1st. Forms were also sent home in Friday Folders and would need to be returned by Wednesday, November 1st. A veteran is a person who is currently or has at any time served in our Armed Services. You may also submit a photo of your veteran. You may email a digital copy to addavis@mc-students.org or send in a physical photo. We waited as long as we could to make the decision, but it does not look like the weather is going to cooperate with our fun-filled fall field trip plans for Friday the 13th. Due to the increased chance of thunderstorms including hail, we have decided to postpone the field trip to Roosters Farm to Friday, October 20th. The time, schedule, details, and procedures will remain the same except for the date. If you were scheduled to attend the field trip and cannot because of the date change, need to change who your student is allowed to leave with or are now available to chaperone (and have the appropriate paperwork on file) please e-mail cfuthey@mc-wildcats.org or send a note in. As always, our student's safety is our number one priority. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. On a side note, Fire Prevention Day will continue as planned.

Spirit Wear Order Forms went home this week in Friday Folders. Spirit Wear makes a great gift and shows off your Wildcat Pride. Orders and money are due to the school October 27 for the first round of orders. Scan the QR code on the form and order online.

Parents/Guardians of Jonesburg Elementary Students: Please read the following information about our upcoming Rooster’s Field Trip: If you want to take your student with you or for your student to leave with another approved adult after the field trip from Rooster’s, YOU NEED TO SEND A NOTE TO SCHOOL ASAP or e-mail cfuthey@mc-wildcats.org or rhans@mc-wildcats.org LETTING US KNOW PRIOR to 8AM on FRIDAY SO THAT WE CAN HAVE YOUR STUDENT BRING THEIR BACKPACK on the bus. What to expect when you arrive: NO adults will be allowed in unless they are on the approved chaperone list. Please meet us at Rooster’s Farm at 12:45. (30903 Honey Locust Rd Jonesburg, MO. 63351) All adults must check in with Mrs. Chris or Mrs. Rachel at the front gate. When you check in you will get a wristband and an exit ticket if you have prearranged taking a student with you. When students arrive around 1:00 classes will line up by their cone near the pavilion. Rooster’s will give us an introduction and let us know what activities are available. You will be introduced to your group - please be patient as some groups have multiple grade levels in them. You will be free to roam the “farm” with your group until it is time to line up at 2:45. Please listen for three whistles which means “line up”. At that point, please return your students to their classroom cone. After teachers have done attendance, you may show your exit ticket and take your student. Please be patient. Student safety is our number one concern. There will be a water station available. Please make sure students dispose of their cups appropriately before leaving the area. There will be no food purchased for students. Please respect this rule as we have several food allergies. Students can purchase things from the gift shop if there is time and IF they have money. If they do not have money, they do not need to enter the gift shop. ALL students will be given a free pumpkin. Please visit the pumpkin wagon that is for JBE and have your group pick out their pumpkin. Then, please write their name on the bottom with a Sharpie and put the pumpkin in the student's classroom line. Please remind your group that they may say, yes please or no thank you. There are Porta Potties for your use on the property. The kids are stoked, don’t forget to get a good night's sleep and wear your patient pants.
