Join us for Hat Day tomorrow to support our local VFW!
In September we received the MAP Scores from our Spring 2021 Assessments. At MCE we recognize our top scoring students in each content area. The library is named after the top scoring English student. The gym is named after the top scoring Math student and the Cafeteria is named after the top scoring Science student. This year our honors go to:
Bella Onofre - Top Scoring English Student
Julia Elder - Top Scoring Math Student
Harper Monsen - Top Scoring Science Student

Summer Reading Celebration Take 2!
We had a group of students who did not participate in our 1st Summer Reading Celebration, and we did not want to leave them out. We celebrated their summer reading success with a treat from Mimi's outside this week. Congratulations!
Last Wednesday many students were not aware it was Change the World Day, so we are offering the opportunity to make a donation & wear your favorite hat to school again this Wednesday, Sept 22nd.
All donations this month will go to to the Imagination Library!
MCE's PTO will meet at 6 pm in the cafeteria and on Facebook Live (on the MCE FB page) tomorrow evening, September 16, 2021. We hope you can join us or tune in.

We had fun celebrating our summer readers today! Students who turned in their summer reading logs enjoyed a treat from Mimi's and some extra recess!
This is the updated quarantine guidelines that we are following at Montgomery City Elementary. I had included the outdated guidelines in MCE News! Please call our office if you have any questions.
If you have a child that must quanantine due to a close contact at school, their siblings do not have to quarantine, unless they were a close contact also.

Tomorrow - Tuesday, August 24th - is the 1st Day of School at MCE!
We can't wait to greet our students, and welcome them to a great new year of learning!
Class lists for the 2021-2022 School Year are posted on the MCE Cafeteria windows!
Teachers officially return to school tomorrow to get ready for our students' first day of school.
Our MCE office will be closed tomorrow morning, 8 am - Noon, for district meetings.
We look forward to seeing our students on Tuesday, August 24th!

This is a final reminder that online student registration closes on August 12. You must access the SISK12 Parent Portal to register your student for the 2021-2022 school year. If you need assistance contact the Central Office at (573)564-2278 or visit one of our buildings during registration. All four buildings will be open August 11 from noon to 8:00 pm and August 12 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Each building will have computers set up and can help you complete registration.

Exciting News - We have ordered our new playground equipment for Montgomery City Elementary! It is scheduled to arrive mid-late October. Fingers crossed it arrives on schedule.
