Medication Policy

In most cases, school students are not allowed to carry medications with them.  Medications are kept in the health room and administered by the school nurse or designee.  The child’s condition must necessitate that the mediation be given during school hours.  Click here for more information on the Medication Administration Policy.

Health Concerns

It is our utmost goal to provide the best possible care for your child, and open communication between parents and Health Services Staff is the only way to achieve that goal.  Please call to schedule a meeting with us if your child has been diagnosed with a health concern, such as Asthma, Diabetes, Seizure Disorder, Severe Allergies, or any other serious condition not listed here.

Screenings

Each fall, students in Kindergarten through Fifth, Seventh, and Tenth grades are screened for vision, hearing, height, and weight.  Students in all other grades may have a vision and/or hearing screening done at the request of the parent, teacher, or special education department.  Parents may request a vision or hearing screening at any time by contacting the Health Services department at your child’s school.
