Research proves a correlation between strong attendance in high school and academic success (not only in high school but later in college as well). Being on time and putting in a full day are great life skills to develop while in high school.
- be familiar with the attendance policy for make-up work
- limit work hours, particularly at night
- get at least 8 hours of sleep
- realize that you are setting habits that will carry forward into a career
Parents always ask, how can they help their HS student be successful?! Encourage them to get up and get here every day, all day - even when they don't feel like it! |

Four Essential Questions Regarding Student Learning |
 |
 |
 |
 |
-
What do we want our students to know and be able to do?
-
How will we know when they have learned it?
-
What will we do when students are not learning or being successful?
-
What will we do when students already know the material and are being highly successful?
