Elementary Counselor’s Corner

 Mrs. Charlotte Miller
Guidance Counselor
Bellflower Elementary School

Welcome to the Counselor’s Corner!  I am Charlotte Miller and I am the school guidance counselor at Bellflower Elementary.  As the school guidance counselor it is my privilege to serve all the students here at Bellflower Elementary through classroom guidance lessons.  I will be visiting each classroom twice a week to discuss such topics as empathy, feelings, problem solving, accepting consequences and careers.  Our discussions will also include character education topics.  Each month we will be focusing on a particular character education word. The following topics will be discussed:

u September - Respect

u October - Safety

u November - Kindness

u December - Kindness

u January - Responsibility/Citizenship

u February - Cooperation/Honesty

u March - Perseverance

u April - Self-Confidence

u May - Review of all traits

I will also be emphasizing the 5 Bs at Bellflower: Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Cooperative, Be Respectful and Be Responsible.

When needed, I also work with students on an individual or small group basis.  Topics in these areas may include self-esteem, peer-relations and social skills.

I am available to parents and students by appointment. Please feel free to contact me at school by calling 929-3211 or by e-mail.  My e-mail address is cmiller@mc-wildcats.org

I am looking forward to working with the students and parents at Bellflower Elementary where “Every Child is a Star!”
